"22 days until 2017..."

It's like  a love hate relationship I have with December. I feel like really sorry that it's ending soon but I could at least put a dot to everything that happened this year, be it good or bad, the ups or downs, and just let the past descend.
Just keep pedaling.

Also, I've set myself a bunch of goals for 2017, as it's a new year! We shall celebrate it with lots of prosperous and wishful goals.

First, IMPROVISATION.
I always try to work on brushing my skills at work. It's a slow progress for now but I could see the difference since I've been constantly pushing myself to stay determined. I'm still working on my trivial bad habits, you know, it is like the sticky shit that you sometimes can't flush away, still trying my best on that. But I know I can do it! Just need a lot of perseverance.

Second, ADVANCING.
I've always wanted to advance my english proficiency by taking some classes. Also, my biggest goal of life is to master 6 languages. So, it's time to start picking up my 4th language next year as we all need to constantly advance our knowledge and skill set. This is to make sure that you are constantly competitive in the market, be it for work or self fulfillment, one should always seek for more knowledge.

Third, SAVE.
As me and Leon already have a place to stay now, I'm currently saving money to buy a new car, (hopefully next year). It is such a struggle because I have high expectations on cars, especially on the outlook and interior.

I'm currently eyeing on this brand new Honda Civic that glad-fully fulfills most of my needs.

It was launched in June but already marked about 8000 units sold!

Honda Civic also kind of match all of my 2017 goals. It is the first Japanese mass market with turbo engine. With 1.5L turbo engine that output equals to 2.4L manage to sweep my feet away. I am surprised with how powerful the brand new Honda Civic is.

The advance technology of this brand new C-segment car that has all the cool features that managed to catch my eyeballs.
My favorite feature is definitely the
i) Remote Engine Start
Remote engine start allows you to start your engine and cool down the car first before you get into the car within 10 meters away.

ii)Auto Brake Hold
Easing your leg muscle! If you're stuck in traffic, definitely no longer need to constantly press on the brake pedal.

There are also other impressive features like Walk Away Auto Lock and Electric Parking Brake. For those music lovers, electrostatic steering switch is definitely something to look for!

Iphone Carplay ftw!
One of the biggest reasons of them all that I choose Honda Civic as my goal car next year, is due to the jaw dropping service fee.

The new Honda Civic is not just impressively powerful but also a good bargain as you can drop your car at any one of the 88 Honda dealers nationwide to enjoy the 5 years warranty with unlimited mileage with a service interval of 10,000km!
The very dedicated Honda service center mechanic

Did you know the service cost for 5 years in total did not exceed RM1,000! So much savings!

Of course, Honda Civic unique selling point is definitely their top class safety features.

With 6 airbags (dual front airbags, side curtain airbags, side airbags), vehicle stability assist (for anti slip especially rainy days), anti-lock braking system, brake and hill start assist, also the emergency stop signal, PHEW! So much cool features! Honda Civic has officially won my heart if you can't already tell.
Extra Room Spacious too!

Did I mentioned they also have the iphone carplay?

I think I've talked too much but you got to try on your own to prove that I'm not wrong!

"For those who fail to plan plan to fail. As cliche as it might sound, but that's the truth...

Disclaimer: This is a very important post for those who going to WAT USA as this will help you save a lot of hassle.
Picture taken in Grand Canyon.

We all know that we are going to be away from home for at least 3/4 months, but what we should pack? Don't forget, if you pack the wrong thing, it will give you hard time at least 3 months. I categorize a few sections on the "must pack".

Going to USA, earning USD, there's actually not much thing you can't afford. UNLESS, for things that is not available, or to avoid unnecessary spending. One of the biggest and most important advice for my friends that ask me about how to pack for USA WAT or trip is TRAVEL LIGHT! Avoid unnecessaries, serious!

1) Electronics.
Electronics can be really expensive unless you decided to buy a TV in USA. Also, I highly not encourage buying electronics due to voltage difference, warranty and as well as the telco supporting system (let's say you intend to buy phone, make sure you can crack or the telco in your country do support, also, check the sim card slot).

You must bring these few items:
- Handphone (duh) and its' accessories including charger, earphone
- Camera and the charger
- Laptop / Ipad. And. The. Charger!
- ADAPTOR (it cost 10USD min. but you can get it like 3RM in Malaysia.)
- Extension cable. (So you can use only 1 adaptor and charge lots of electronics at one go. However, do aware the weight of it as well)

2) Clothes.
Have you ever sad for being a girl and there is just too much of possible mix and match and you want to bring your whole wardrobe so you can take all the OOTDs? Let me tell you one thing, you can get $2 quality jeans wear during sales or $7 top while you are making about 7.50USD minimum an hour. :) The least you bring, the more you can shop! My advice on clothing is, bring those easy matchings and all the other clothes you don't bother keeping!
- Sleepwear (t shirt and shorts that can use as work out wear)
- 1 pair of long jeans and 1 pair of short jeans. (mother of all matching OOTD)
- 7 to 10 tops.
- 1 long dress (can be wore as casual and normal event)
- 1 short skirt.
- 8 set of undergarmets
- pantiliner and PADs (I bring the exact amount I need in 4 months so I won't waste any space)Also, US has expensive PADs.
- socks (very important if it's winter)
- Panty hoses (Easy to wear
-1 pair of slippers
-1 pair high heel (that can be wear for casual and formal event)
-1 pair of sport shoes
-1 pair of work shoes (my work shoes is my sport shoes so I saved on this)
- Shades
- 1 Hat/ Cap (Can be useful for matching as well as deter some harmful rays.)
- Scarves
- washing net!!! (very important for washing bras)

Important:
i) Bring monochrome or plain colours, easier to match.
ii) Don't bring too much as most of the time you are wearing uniform.
iii) Bring something you don't mind leaving behind, as well as shoes.
Overweight luggage might cost you 200 USD which is about 800RM FML. So if you might bought too much in between flight, wear the heavier garments like jacket and sport shoes! Or just throw them away!
iv) If you don't care about OOTDs and repetitive clothes and you can even save them by bringing washing net and keep washing them and wear them back as coin laundry is pretty common in USA) and buy clothes in between the journey.  (esp big jackets as they are dirt cheap) Spend most of the money on food.

3) Food
Food is necessary as it won't stock up too much space when as time goes on, you consume them. My packing tactic is bring more food and less clothes to USA as you will definitely need these for your long journey and especially when you miss home. Also it helps to release some of your stress on cooking after long day from work (if you have to cook).
- bring MILO
- bring MAGGI
- bring ALL THE SEASONING PACKS (if your workplace does not include meals)
- bring CHILLI SAUCE, CHILLI SAUCE, CHILLI SAUCE, BELACAN (US people only have tomato sauce T_T and sriracha and I don't like either of it. Imported food are expensive including chilli padi)

Bring all of these in individual packaging, so you save space on keeping them after.(please don't bring a bottle of chilli sauce? common sense please) Don't worry and you can bring a lot of these, because consumable item wont take your luggage space for too long! They will be gone soon!

4) Toiletries
I brought most of the products in travel size, especially make up products and facial products. Because I found they really take up a lot of space and they are really heavy! Focus a lot on moisturising products, especially foundation. You don't need to bring foundation cake if you have liquid foundation, it's SO DRY there.

- Toothbrush
-Toothpaste (you don't need a big one for 4 months, save space! Unless you eat them when you're hungry or you need them for your fries)
- Facial products (don't ever forget MOISTURIZER and CHAPSTICK) Most US states weather are dry but moisturizer and chapsticks are cheap. However, bring them as it will be gone by the time you are coming home so it doesn't take too much space!
- Make up products
- Shampoo and Conditioner (TRAVEL SIZE, it's 4 months, not 1 year 500ml should be enough as nobody care about washing hair that often in winter)
- Disposable Shaver (if you have shaving habit but who cares if it's winter)
- Nail Clipper!! (remember this! it's very helpful and also remember placing it in the check in bag.)

5) In case of emergency...
- PANADOL (they don't sell this there, important!)
- Minyak Kepala
- Period Cramp pill
- Plaster
- Cold Pill
- Whatever pill you want to bring.

Travel light, and plan ahead. Really.
If you're stuck at a point that you're not sure, e-mail me and I will try my best to help! Also, comment below if I missed out any!:)

P'/s: Thanks for everyone emails before!

"As this is the biggest decision I've made, I realized how far I can go and how much potential I have inside in me. I realize how important it is for one to have a goal, and stick with it."

One of the biggest decisions so far this year is also the dreadest decision I've ever made - to go out my comfort zone, once again, after years of living in my safest embrace with Leon.

I decided to leave the country and everything behind 7000 miles away, to Hawaii just to see the world, and have a taste of my dream. I have watched enough episodes of Sex and The City and I really want to see the "City" myself, minus the forking out money part. *Fangirling to Carrie*

My WAT (work and travel) experience wasn't the easiest one to begin with. I am one of the 2 ladies out of the 10 Malaysian students that being sent to Hawaii. With no one and nothing to begin with, I braced myself for unknown possibilities 7000 miles away, with faith that I will and have to be alright, taking care me and myself. Oh, did I mention the other lady who participate this programme is with her bf...  #foreveralone

I received emails lately regarding how and why I chose Hawaii for my WAT programme.
To be brutally honest, I didn't even know Hawaii was one of the states in US. (I still believe it belonged to Japan. ) *chuckles*

But I praise the universe for the opportunity and letting me find out this as one of the extra options other than California and Florida. SO , to begin with...

How you should choose your working state:
Choose a place that you wish to spend most of your time with!
For me, I insist on choosing a warmer states, hence the decision on California and Florida. (warm but not lose out on the fun) My plan to spend on winter jackets is almost zero. Me, living in a country of Summer-only-no-other-season-liao, my tolerance to cold is zero. Wait, I mean I have NO tolerance to cold. Imagine I still constantly wear long sleeves in Hawaii.

And I could just sneeze all day long...

How you should choose your working agent:
Choose someone you can work along with. For my case, I find that Infinity Abroad fulfilled my needs and answered all my questions. I was rejected rudely by the OOTB as they refused to help me. They said I can only join the Summer programme (I apply during early March) due to my student status. (You have to be a student when you apply WAT) But they refuse to take me in as they are full. And I can only join the Winter programme if I am still a student by May, which I am not a student anymore.... as I graduated in May.

I am forever thankful to Infinity Abroad.
As they are not just helpful with me... they are also very patient with my questions and Soong even suggested for me to go to Hilton Waikoloa, allowing me to have a chance to see this incredible view, and walking around with an incredible looking CV now...

In Hilton Waikoloa Village...

There are dolphins.

This is my everyday view.
It's incredible how much my heart flutters now just think about it.

It was such a shame for a city girl going into the nature-living life.
I'm forever grateful thinking bout it now. It was such a pain in the ass as I have to give away my TV and internet (they do have internet but I am just too busy! ). For all these things that Hawaii has to offer, I miss staying in my blankey just playing internet games all day long.

And now I find myself so foolish and silly. Mother nature is indeed the best.
If only I am in Hawaii forever. Wait, I mean in Hilton.

These are all the views around my stay.

 On my very first day.

My only splurge before the trip was the white Reebok that lasted me for 3 months. But hey, I wear them all the time. Almost 24/7

View outside. My balcony.
I stay in a room... Wow. It's such a long drive down memory lane.

How I wish to see you again.

I was sooooooo overwhelmed with the view.
It feels like all the stress throughout the years, being emptied.
I'm just proud of myself that I did not give up trying even though I've being turned down by OOTB and other agents.

"I dare you to try a 8 hour photo shooting session."

Last Friday, me and Leon went for a photo shooting session in Penang and had our fair share of "Penang Top Model Season 9". We were so excited for the 8am photo shooting but then later that day we couldn't bear for it to end earlier.

I can never underestimate any photo shooting model out there, anymore. It might sounds like the easiest work in the world simply just posing to the camera, but the attention spend for continuously 10 hours, that's no kidding bruh. Especially when working with my partner that doesn't really pose, Nuuuu.

I had 4 style to change and man, the dresses are as heavy as my Monday Blue's eye lid.
So heavy!

One of my favourite look.

I have to go home by 12am tonight hehe.
Call me Cinderella.

Leon in grey. Never thought he can look like a tycoon. xixi.
A billionaire look!

Mermaid look is also one of my favourite!
Love all the look my MUA set for me.

 Detail.

 Okay gotta go!

 Verdict:
Ever wonder why you should only marry once?
Because it's way to tedious to do it twice, unless you are bawling well that's a different story.

We slept the whole Saturday and Sunday away....
Like how can you judge those models that work through that routine for days and months and years.
Man, just imagine yourself keep changing and posing for the 10 hours....

Signing off,
Stay pretty :)

"Does it really work? Does it really work?"

First of all, I am so enthralled when I was introduced to this collagen hairdryer.
Everyone knows that I am a sucker for new beauty technology. But collagen hairdryer?
How does it work and does it really work?

Remember the nanotechnology that people used in all kinds of serum and products back then?
There is this new trend where people want to focus the ion on the hair.  Add to that, it disperses all the collagen to your hair which all the people are crazy about.

Now your hair can have it too.

Introducing Tescom Beauty Collagen Hair Dryer.

"I can show you the world, shining shimmering splendid ðŸŽ¶"

So I being the new era princess, brought my prince to the new sky dining spot in Trillion KL earlier. If you happened to be around, can really check it out. Probably new hanging spot for those sky dining lover.

Started off with a warm onion soup.
Not your usual creamy type and it's definitely A-list for comfort food.

Jul is super happy with her soup.

Next with the trio bruschetta.

Wasn't sure if it's my birthday but everyone is there today. Hello.

Food here definitely up to par, despite the food decoration is oddly hilarious.
This is Leon's main dish, beef tenderloin. It is very flavorful and strongly recommended for those who love beef.

My choice is always the lamb.
Give me my cutlet, and I'm happy for days. Lovely flavor, good presentation and perfect doneness.

Dessert is like a sweet ending for a good story.
Not too fancy for this story ending but everyone liked it very much. Just me cannot deal with mousse but mousse fans should really go for this.

Good food with good companion that night.

And of course it's always great to meet her again.
Staphhh it babe. Not returning any kisses. lol.

Roofino has a very interesting landscape.
The bar and dining area is separated. The dining area is indoor with glasshouse.
You can always dine with a view of the best Kuala Lumpur. I believe it's also a very good choice for intimate wedding.

Or a private photo shooting session. Any takers?

Parking lot can be slightly confusing tho.
But just remember to go in the Trillion building and you are good to go!
